Bridge Drive

    On November 29^th 2008 a bridge drive was organized by a team of 
`   workers from Marple U3A
    and Marple Bridge & Mellor U3A in aid of the Young Oncology Unit at
    Christie Hospital.
    An amazing £807.50 was raised during an afternoon of bridge with 
    afternoon tea.
    The money will be used for amenities for hospitalised young people and 
    will help to keep them motivated and allow them to socialise with their 
    friends and fellow patients.
    A huge Thank You is extended to all who supported the event especially 
    Jean who organized the bridge, the team who helped with catering and all 
    those who gave prizes and made cakes.
