Some Marple U3A members recently joined up with Romiley U3A local history group for a guided walk around Romiley.
    Meeting at the Forum and walking to the top of Guywood Lane we turned along Hilltop and dropped down onto Quarry 
    Road, along Dye Lane and back onto Stockport Road.  We saw houses built in the 17^th and 18^th century and learned 
    something of the history of the area.  We certainly saw a corner of Romiley hidden away from general view!
