The Ring O' Bells Quiz Night

 The Ring 0' Bells Charity Fun Quiz

    On two successive Thursday evenings in July, 8 U3A members and 6 kind friends met to test their general

    knowledge, in a bid to raise some money for our charity. As was the case last year our downfall was popular

     "modern music" this despite bribing two 30 year olds to join in (It didn't help that some of the music was played 

    backwards).

    During the picture round there were many cries of "surely not! really! do you think so!" and only after the pub 

`    lights were enhanced and magnifying glasses appeared out of handbags, did we all complete the round. Our cut throat 

    attitudes and competitive spirits ensured we disagreed with any answer which differed from ours, resulting in much 

    laughter and a total raised of £80.50.
