Christmas Outing

 

On Thursday, December 11^th members of the table tennis group (and some partners) 

met for lunch at the Lyme Breeze restaurant in Adlington.  We had to wait a while for 

Owen who had been trying for more than half an hour to find this remote eating place 

(which even a sat. nav. would find a challenge!) but, at last, he turned up and we were able to

start our Christmas meal.  The food was delicious and enjoyed by everyone with the time between 

courses being devoted to a Christmas quiz.   After coffee the results of the quiz were announced

and – surprise, surprise since there had been a considerable amount of conferring – three contestants 

drew for first place.  The tiebreaker was ‘ What did my true love send on the ninth day of Christmas?’ 

and guess who won – Owen!!! 

It had been a really good day out and put the members in fine feckle forthe following 

Wednesday – the last day of the season and a tournament.  Winner to be announced at a later date!!
