Painting Group

    In February we started the Painting group, meeting alternate Friday mornings at 9.45- 12.45
    It is held at the Reading Room at Hawk Green. The group is a mixed bunch of talent some absolute
    beginners, others quite accomplished, but it doesn't really matter as we all help each other.
    We have had an artist come to give us advice and show us his paintings and hope to do this again.
    Deborah is there most weeks and is happy to relinquish some of her knowledge of the arts.
    Everyone has some input which makes it very enjoyable. Cyril comes most weeks to demonstrate
    his tea making skills and we are hoping he is bringing his paints in the near future. So if you wish
    to come along give me a call to check you have the correct week, you will be most welcome as long 
    as we have sufficient tables to accommodate you. Most bring watercolours but you can do whatever
    takes your fancy. We sometimes set up a still life but are open to suggestions. We are also
    considering visiting the Whitworth Art Gallery.
