Marple and District u3a is part of a nationwide organisation which brings together people who no longer work to share and pursue learning in all forms. You can find out more about the history of the u3a movement and its vision for the future here Third Age Trust.

At Marple and District u3a, we have over 350 members and an annual subscription of just £6.00. There is a monthly general meeting for members with a guest speaker and over 30 interest groups to take part in, including: Bridge, Table Tennis, French, Walking and Outings.

We meet on the second Monday of each month at the Marple Senior Citizens Hall, Memorial Park, Marple at 10am.

u3a Learning Events

The u3a relationship with leading organisations, built up over many years, has meant we are in a position to offer selected national events online ensuring that learning is still available to our u3a's and their members. This includes events with the National Gallery, Royal Institution, Guildhall Art Gallery, and the British Library (for which there may be a charge).

We are also offering a number of workshops, webinars and interactive sessions delivered by members for members, which are free to join.

Don't forget u3a also runs many projects, initiatives and competitions available for all members to get involved in.
